Farm Visit

The best way to get to know your farmer and where and how your food is produced is to visit the farm. If your journey brings you to our area, we welcome you to spend a few hours with us at SOVA Farms, take a tour of the farm, meet happy birds and animals and look inside the fully renovated 1811 farm house.  Imagine, this house was built when the US was only 35 years old!

During one of the early renovations of the house a false floor was discovered in the attic that contained slave manacles. This house was part of the Underground Railroad that operated in this area between 1830-1860 that helped approximately 3000 slaves find their way to freedom in Canada.

Cooperstown is just over 30 miles away and a great way to spend a day in the Baseball Hall of Fame or an evening at the Glimmerglass Opera house. Colgate University is just up the road and our town of Norwich houses the finest car collection, with over 150 vehicles dating back to the start of the car.

Hope to see you soon!
